Right click on the hardware device you wish to update and choose Update Driver.

The package provides the installation files for HP Photosmart 7760 Series Printer Driver version 10.2.0.4. I did find a Vista driver (HP_Vista_SF_Ph2A.exe) which seems only to work with local USB installations. Unfortunately, the CD was cut for driver support for Windows ME and Windows XP. I tried thesuggestion (from another thread) creating a local port and did get an invitation to load the drivers from my CD. Operation could not be completed (error 0x0000003a)". Right click the 'Computer' icon on your desktop and select Properties to figure it out. please let me know if you have Windows 7 32 bit or 64 bit.
it is plugged into it and computer says - Answered by a verified Technician. It occurs when I Add Printer from Control Panel/Printer, add a network printer, I see P1 on HP7700Printer \\HP7700rinter\P1 on the "Add Printer" dialog and clicked Next. My Vista Laptop reacts a bit differently issueing the 0x0000003a msg.
